Recently, a delegation of teachers and students from the Cogtwins Fablab at Shandong University of Science and Technology visited Haier Group’s Small Appliance Business Unit to conduct enterprise research and technical exchange. Led by Teacher Bao, the delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with Haier’s R&D team leaders. The meeting was chaired by Haier’s R&D Manager Lei Yuantong, with Chief Engineer Dr. Liu Ge, Structural Director Li Chuanjing, Electronics Control Manager Shang Yinuo, and various product line project managers in attendance.

近日,山东科技大学Cogtwins Fablab师生代表在包老师带领下赴海尔集团小家电事业部开展企业调研与技术交流。实验室师生与海尔研发团队负责人进行了深入洽谈。交流会由海尔研发经理雷远通主持,总工程师刘戈博士、结构总监李传敬、电控经理尚一诺及各产品线项目经理共同出席了会议。

During the exchange meeting, Haier’s R&D team first showcased current physical product prototypes and elaborated on the core pain points requiring urgent optimization in design, production, and user experience. The discussion focused on specific needs such as improving anti-leakage components for production lines, upgrading the water shortage warning function for appliances, and enhancing safety designs to prevent finger pinching in fans.

交流会上,海尔研发团队首先展示了当前产品实物样机,并详细阐述了在设计、生产与用户体验层面亟待优化的核心痛点。讨论焦点集中在产线生产防漏件改进、电器缺水预警功能升级、风扇防夹手安全设计等具体需求上。

Sparking Innovative Ideas: Proposing Preliminary Solutions

碰撞创新火花:提出初步解决方案

In response to the challenges presented by Haier, the Cogtwins Fablab team, leveraging their expertise in intelligent sensing, algorithm design, and structural innovation, proposed preliminary solution concepts on-site, including: an optimization and traceability coding scheme for anti-leakage components; a water shortage warning system based on novel sensors and intelligent algorithms; and a touch-based safety design to prevent finger pinching in fans.

针对海尔方提出的挑战,Cogtwins Fablab团队基于自身在智能传感、算法设计及结构创新等方面的技术积累,现场提出了初步的解决方案构想,包括:防漏件优化与追溯编码方案;基于新型传感与智能算法的缺水预警系统;触摸式风扇防夹手安全设计。

Both sides conducted lively and in-depth discussions on the technical feasibility, implementation pathways, and potential collaboration models for the above solutions, laying a solid foundation for future concrete cooperation.

双方就上述方案的技术可行性、实施路径及潜在的合作模式进行了热烈而深入的探讨,为后续具体合作奠定了良好基础。

Experiencing Innovation Strength: Visiting R&D Frontiers

感受创新实力:走进研发一线

Following the meeting, guided by Director Guo of the Haier Laboratory, the delegation visited several advanced R&D and testing platforms, including the Offline Voice Laboratory, Noise Testing Laboratory, and Airflow Efficiency Testing Laboratory. Subsequently, they visited the Haier Small Appliance Market Department showroom, gaining an in-depth understanding of Haier’s latest product lines and forward-looking market strategies.

会后,在海尔实验室雷主任的引导下,师生们先后参观了离线语音实验室、噪音测试实验室、风量能效测试实验室等多个先进的研发测试平台。随后,大家访问了海尔小家电市场部展厅,深入了解了海尔最新产品线与前沿市场布局。

The two sides engaged in exchanges on topics such as technology development, personnel training, and achievement transformation, reaching preliminary consensus on promoting further deep integration of industry, academia, and research to jointly explore innovation opportunities in the smart appliance field.

双方围绕技术研发、人才培养及成果转化等方向展开了交流,并就推动下一步产学研深度融合达成初步合作共识,共同探索智能家电领域创新机遇。

This visit not only provided valuable learning and exchange opportunities but also represented an important step for Cogtwins Fablab in advancing the deep integration of industry, academia, and research while connecting with real industry needs. We look forward to engaging in substantive collaboration with Haier Group on specific projects, working together to address practical industrial challenges and cultivate innovative, practical talent.
